Lol...you clearly didn't see earlier pages in this thread cause I already have.

Don't understand the hate Hublot seems to get and typically from people that don't have any. Craftsmanship and build quality is absolutely top notch.

When I learned about it, Hublot hate typically came from Nico from YouTube about how it's trash because they use ETA movements.

GP as a brand perhaps, but the style and wear of watches, comparing this Hublot to the specific GP I had, I prefer the Hublot. There are other GP's I like but the Laureato Absolute didn't cut it for me. Plus Hublot is better $ wise if I ever want to get out of it.

There are a couple of watch groups on Facebook which has been a detriment since I found them. "Canada Watch Club" and "Canada Watch Exchange". Lots of trade/sale opportunities on there. Lots of secondary dealers and AD's backdoor pedalling marked up Rolex's though.
    Thx ...

Dont get me wrong, I am big fan for Hublot, been wearing Hublot for 15 year or so, good value as poor man AP, from the early ETA, Zenith movement, to the recent full in house Meca 10, awesome for 20-30K, I am just a big fan of Laureato! ^_^

Thx for suggestion for the watch groups, most of them I found are in Vancouver/Toronto, lots of choices and good price, but shipping still expensive, and prefer to see in person.

He's kinda hilarious at times but im a rookie when it comes to watches. His videos on cars are cringe. He took his dde Collabs too far.

Oh ya all good. GP is great, especially Laureato. I will likely get one of the metal ones at some point. I am also trying to see if I can get my hands on a Moser and a Acheron. I am intrigued by lesser known high horology. I have a few Rollie's and all but my Jaeger LeCoultre, BlancPain stuff appeals to me more. Eventually plan is to have at least 1 piece from the holy trinity.

That's the beauty of this hobby, everyone has their own taste. And if you are doing it right you don't have to lose money on the pieces as long as you're not buying them brand new. I obviously don't know what the fuck I am doing and am impulsive so been losing 1500-2k almost each time. Tell myself it was the last time every time.

Yea those groups most people out of Vancouver and Toronto but you can tell who's honest/trustworth etc. Plus there are some secondary dealers and private people on them from Calgary and Edmonton to so plenty of opportunities.

Lol yeah but that’s primarily the reason why Hublot hate is so prevalent. It existed in niche forums but his content amped it to 11

Smaller (36-39mm) dress watch trend is back last couple years, been looking for a nice brownish or cream dial smaller size dress watch, While VC and PP are the best choice for dress watch, but $30-50k to "start" is a bit too steep ...

So, GS is my choice, happy to find this limit edition last year.

Part of the serious/non-revolving collection. AP RO 15500 RG. Next target is an annual perpetual calendar of some kind. Liking IWC', especially Lake Tahoe but crazy price point for a watch that will never give the same return, so a bit of a hard pill to swallow. Thinking to settle with pilot Lake Tahoe as much more palatable at 15k-16K than the 40K+ of the perpetual calendar. Main reason for wanting it is cause Hamilton wears it lol.

Cartier Tank watches are quite something. Wouldn't complain about receiving one of those.
