    Default Kitchens

Finally in the new house and starting to get things looking good. Thought I would share the finished kitchen. We are pretty happy with the results.

Looks really good, especially the color combo and lighting.

    Post it up

We basically designed our whole house around the kitchen.

I love all your appliances, floor to ceiling cupboards, but not my taste at all. Then again, I much prefer older homes to newer ones.

The countertops look like they are white (??) and backsplash looks out of place. I could be wrong, but it looks like 0.49 tile in an otherwise very expensive kitchen.

Love the hardware you chose for the cabinets though

We like the ultra modern look, but went with something a little more universal as it fit the house better. It helps that I know a good cabinet maker. We needed about 70 door pulls.

Ditto about the basic builders tile.... good thing is it is just plain white so will never become outdated but would of gone with a subway shaped tile or something at least. Rest of it looks great though, like a showhome!

This Looks amazing. Countertops and back splash are perfect. I think I will copy it. What's the rest of the house look like?

Countertops are a light grey quartz, the backsplash is a grey 4x8 glass tile, the lights make it look lighter than it is. Everyone has different tastes.

    Haha...thanks!

Greys and whites through out the house. It's a very contemporary home.

Thanks. We are still waiting for furniture to arrive, so the other rooms are not complete.

Pictures never do glass tile justice. That must have been an upgrade, Brad? Glass is probably the most expensive material you can put on a kitchen splash. Used to be, you couldn't find glass for less than $50/ft....BEFORE installation costs. But it's been coming down in price the last few years since China has gotten into the market. Now you can get it for around the $40/ft mark....installed.
    Definitely has that "contemporary" look.
