New dynasty on country hills Shut down

The one in front of studio 16 werent paying their lease. They have a note on their door with a debt of over $15,000. Not surprised, the ppl running this place always seemed shady.

Yep Shitty food. Lived in the area 10 years and only ate there twice and that was two times too many.

I choose never to eat there since their little flyer has their head chef on the front winning a cooking competition from the 80's.

A debt of $15,000? $15000 is nothing... so they were behind for a month. I haven't been there in ages... let's just say it is not the type of Chinese restaurant that Chinese people would go to. I guess non-Chinese people stop going to the place too.

I'm sure you got that wrong bud... The chef you're talking about in the flyer should be Master Leung, and that restaurant should be called Dragon Garden (afaik)... that should be on Harvest Hills Drive by the little seagull pooping pond playground entrance, in the Kwik Mart strip mall.

And if that's the case, Master Leung really is good shit

yeah i noticed this too. I was there 2 weeks ago and all the doors were locked...

They have 2 other New Dynasty locations in Calgary, Crowfoot and in the SE. The country hills one is owned by the father and the other 2 are owned by the son.. or vice versa.. something like that.

The other 2 are still open and running. I hear the SE one is doing pretty bad as well. But the Crowfoot one is doing okay.

The new plan is a Gingerbeef there =P

Or, if you want a good Chinese restaurant near Studio 16, go around the strip mall to Imperial Dynasty behind the Burger King =).

The Crowfoot location sucks as well. I'm pretty well going exclusively to Bobby Chao in the NW these days.

I tried both New Dynasty and Imperial and I actually found New Dynasty tasted better

Sounds like I'm the only one haha! I'll probably give Imperial a try again. They're both soo close to my house, don't want to drive all the way to that place by Hanson Ranch or Bobby Chao's.

New Dynasty in crowfoot is good when i dont feel like driving down to China Town.

Once in a while order delivery from there.

You have to order off the menu and possibly speak chinese to them lol
