Woman smashes into cars during 45-minute “demolition derby” through Calgary Sunday afternoon

A 30-year old woman suspected of drinking went on a car-crashing spree with her Jeep Sunday afternoon before being boxed in by police cruisers in the southern community of Canyon Meadows.
The Calgary Police Service began receiving complaints around 12:50 p.m. of a careless driver and hit and run collisions in downtown Calgary, all apparently involving the same vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of 61 Ave. S.E. and attempted to stop the vehicle, without success.
Police pulled back their cars and the HAWC helicopter followed the jeep in an erratic pattern through the city to Canyon Meadows drive where the vehicle was boxed in by the marked police units.
During this 45 minute ordeal police received 15 complaints involving this vehicle.
A result of a collision with the Jeep. a father and his three-year old daughter were transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
Members from District 6 and the Traffic Section will be handling this investigation, according to police officials.
