    Shinjuku downtown.

Ichi Rock downtown. Only open for dinner though.

Does Ichi Raku still do ramen? Last I heard they closed their doors and reopened as a Korean pub but I haven't had a chance to check it out at night

I know they used to do sushi and then ramen for lunch, which was ok to good IMO but not great.

We like Jinya on 17th downtown, Shikiji on centre and 16th, and Skiki Menya in Bridgeland.

Also tried yama ramen in Canmore - sucked balls and super overpriced btw....DO NOT TRY. $17-$18 for a bowl of ramen, and $4 for an extra hard boiled egg.

Arash reminds me of Mar but I can't tell which one is more stupid.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Shinjuku is run by the same people as Shikiji.

I think Ichi Rock still has the same menu. I quite like them. If you don’t like pork based broth then it won’t be for you.

Really? Granted, it's been a while since I last went to Shikiji, but I didn't think they tasted anything like each other.

+1 for Jinya, got it in Vancouver and while it's not as good here, it's still above average for Calgary IMO.

Shinjuku (5 Ave SW), they still on a soft opening menu (chicken broth for now)

Modern contemporary décor, love restaurants willing to spend (investor's?) money to make the place look nice, just to get $10-30/ppl.

Had the chicken broth creamy spicy miso, the pork meat has a sweeter taste to it than others.

If anyone knows the owner, please rely the message for them to consider upgrading the men's toilet to those modern pressure assisted flushing systems. Don't cheap out on these Costco $99 Waterridge . No gonna lie, almost flooded it.
