Default where to get shelf stable milk?

does anyone know where to get shelf stable milk (in tetra packs) that doesn't have to be refrigerated until it's opened? I know it's available but i haven't seen it for sale in Calgary. Going on an extended camping trip and it would be nice to not have to keep milk cold the entire time.

    thanks!

I've never heard the term "shelf stable milk", but maybe powdered milk would work for your application?

it's UHT pasteurized in aseptic packaging, so it doesn't need refrigeration until it's opened. it looks like this

Pretty sure I have seen it at coop before, by the coffee stuff or juice I believe.

I would call Parmalat a call see if they can tell you where they sell it in Calgary. I know there are plenty of other kinds, like rice, soy, almond in tetra packs.

^^yea I've been buying soy/almond/rice milk for some time, and while it's super convenient while camping, it's not the same as real milk. i've been trying to find shelf stable "real" milk for about a year, but can't seem to find it anywhere. calling parmalot is a good idea though.

someone here told me they used to buy it on toronto, but that doesn't really help me LOL

Yup very true, you can buy it all over Ontario, and I agree Almond/soy/rice isn't the same on cereal. Neither is powered milk for that matter.

We tend to do oatmeal for breakfast if we camp

They sell milk in tetra packs at Superstore in Deerfoot Meadows. It is in the same aisle as the coffee I believe.

ahh I actually took a pic on my phone and deleted the darn thing by accident. Just looked at the Grand Pre UHT milk image on the net and I don't think it's the same brand. Not 100% sure though. Sorry. We ended up there yesterday buying the Chapmans ice cream for a party and thought to look.
