    Default Nissan Consult

Any Nissan guru's out there have this tool at home or handy? Got a friend with a dead Nissan and no ideas, need to do some resets and scanning if possible.

    Thanks guys!

Not really, you won't benefit from a consult 2/3 over any generic OBD2 scan tool anyway. Just get the code and reference it. The data monitor's are the same as well. You just lack the ability to read other control modules.

Except there is no code being thrown and the data monitor is what we want to view and the generic OBD2 scanner does not have enough detail in it.

Thanks Yes that one is cheap but my laptop doesn't have a serial port so I want a USB package for myself but looking to get this car fixed ASAP if possible.

A good USB to serial adaptor will work too. Haha that's why I keep my old laptop around...serial port.

I've thought of that too but had troubles with other ECU software and adapter cables not working so I'm just going to hold out for the right stuff. I got an old old laptop but the battery doesn't hold a charge and the converter is more money and not really safe either so USB it is.
