I'm looking for Hydrogen Peroxide in concentrations of 12-15% and vegetable glycerine.
So far, all I could find is 3% and food grade 35% H2O2, which is too low and too high respectively.
Anyone know where I can get these ingredients?

H2O2, dilute it. What are ya making?
35% peroxide mixed 1 part peroxide and 2 parts distilled water = 12%.
That is my last resort, but I'm sure they come in lower concentrations, I just don't know where to get it.Originally posted by Feruk

As for what I am making, I am making a "reverse oxidizer" to restore yellowed plastic/vinyl/rubber.

so you're using an oxidizer (H2O2) to make a "reverse oxidizer" or reducer? Sounds interesting
heloc that shit
Why did I think from the initial sounds that you were creating an explosive? Apparently the fear the media has so intently tried to instill in me has taken hold...
Yeah it sounds weird, but the recipe I'm using has an adverse effect when you mix it with other stuff. Maybe I'll post results after I do it. I just need the ingredients.Originally posted by lint

I use hydrogen peroxide to take the yellow out of some of my Transformers. 3% will work fine, 6% works faster and can be found in a hair salon place. Throw everything into a glass jar, put in the h202 and throw it out in the sunlight. Or use a CFL bulb but that takes forever.

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.

But yea, what he said
+ 1 if you go to a salon distributor you can get either cream or liquid form 3%, 6%, 9%, or 12% (10, 20, 30, 40 vol respectively). cream form has more conditioning agents that protect more where the liquid is more harsh...but you need to know someone with a hairstyling license, or there might be some on ebay. that place has everything!Originally posted by Mar
can be found in a hair salon place. .

I think that was more from common sense. All I remember from Chemistry class was trying to hit on the lab T.A'sOriginally posted by HiTempguy1

if you go to a salon distributor you will need a license to purchase anything in the store because it is only for the beauty industry and the prices are at least half of anything you will find. everyone gets id'd!Originally posted by JordanEG6

You are going to blow up your house if you try that trick. H2O2 in high concentrations is used as rocket fuel. It's extremely unstable and really not the type of thing you want to be "cooking" at home. This folks is how Darwin awards happen...Originally posted by theken

There's 1 supply store that you don't need a license (all the rest you do).Originally posted by 6mtguy
