Why don't you try to space the two tickets out? Go fight the first one which is only 4km/h over mandatory court date and get them to knock it down to something like 30 or 40 over. No license suspension and since you're barely over I don't see why the prosecutor wouldn't do it.
For the second ticket, I believe there is some way to delay your court date up to two times and maybe not even see a judge till next year. Someone help out here? Not sure if it's to do with not being able to make that date or what. The first ticket for what will look like 30 over likely won't even be brought up.
I was pulled over in panoka. RCMP officer was very nice. DA filled the stereo type for being in wetaskawin. crazy maniacal bitch.

Then theyll haul you into the mental asylum
Last time I was hit with a ticket like that I was given a $400 fine and 4 demerits after the dust cleared. it is hard to tell what the outcome will be as there is nothing set in stone. It's up to the judge and your skills.
Beyond's Most Wanted
Talk to on of those traffic ticket defense places, I knew someone who got busted driving over 200 km/hour twice in Calgary and had to pay fines and accept demerits but didn't get license suspended/revoked or suffer other charges.
Yea I don't know about that...You don't get off those tickets very easy, especially when its like 100km/h over the limit. He either paid a fuckload for a lawyer, lied, or got REALLY REALLY REALLY lucky. When i got my ticket I went to talk to all of those places and the only thing they said they could do for me is lower the $ amount, I was getting suspended in any case. They didn't even look interested in taking my case.Originally posted by z06power

its not that bad...
step one:
prolong trial dates
-wait till dates on tickets (if there is a day apart)
-set trial dates on day of ticket, keep pushing for the farthest out date you can book. have your berry out and pretend to be checking your schedule as they tell you dates, come up with excuses for dates till date is as far out as you can get it
step two:
fight first ticket
-dress nice and all that, be polite and dont make up excuses to why you were speeding.
-tell the judge on how you reformed since the infraction took place. ie. i sold my sports car, i have not sped since that weekend... etc
-first ticket fought should be the lower number one, this will have the best odds of getting reduced to a 40 or 50 over ticket which is just a fine and demerits
step three:
extend second ticket's trial date
-tell them you have a funeral out of province to go to that date
-repeat second point of step one
step four:
take a defensive driver course to remove some of the demerits.
-these course knock off two points, can be taken... once a year? something like that
step five:
fight second ticket
-repeat step two
-pray
thats it... should work. worse case is you lose your license for a month in about 12-24 months
They were out in full force. Saw a SL pulled over on 22. I think it's construction zone tho. And the sheriffs were cursing 1A as usual.Originally posted by BrknFngrs
The long weekend wouldn't have been my first choice for a high speed cruise
Good luck on fighting the tix.

Most police officers are reasonable as long as they don't think you're an idiot.Originally posted by syritis

FYI there is no such thing as a District Attorney in Canada (DA). You were talking to a Crown
Prosecutor.
