Default Anybody work for Ford on here?

I know Fords better than the back of my own hand, and ive always been thinking of becoming a sales associate at a dealership.

Id really like to know how it would be working at a dealership tho.

Who has been or currently is a sales rep at a Calgary dealership? Hows the work environment? Are there currently any positions at your dealership if you work at one?

Id love to be able to get my foot in the door for a SVT licensed branch. I know Advantage has it, and Metro (I think) I wouldnt even mind Cam Clark in airdrea personally.

Let me know what you guys think.

I worked for Cam Clark (as a detailer tho) when i was younger, at that time only one sales rep was able to sell the SVT line, no other sales reps could sell a new SVT car/truck. It was a great gig though, he got to go to SEMA every year and at least one trip per year to the factory for training on the new SVT products.

Knowledge doesn't aways translate into sales, but it sure helps. Have you been in sales before? Advantage is also a SVT dealer and I have a friend that works at Woodridge and does very well.

Fvck advantage ford being an "SVT" dealer.

For some reason I brought my car to them when the pulley puller tool broke off inside my s/c snout. The expert SVT mechanic advised me the cheapest route would be to remove the blower and replace it with another one.

Turns out all we had to do was walk it out with a drill bit, lol.

makes a lot of sense Rat,

I was also considering a service advisor position. I really think id be good at that. Also I have noticed that metro and advantage have 2 of the biggest douches for sales managers ever. Which like you say, could make my life a living hell.

Suppose I should go in and see for myself tho.

This. Sales skills are sales skills. Knowing everything about a product isn't going to make you money.
