I purchased a new build condo and was eligible to receive a GST rebate. I sent the forms off on Monday and I was just curious to know how long it takes to get the $$$ from the CRA.

Who did you build with? I know now, in most cases the builder automatically calculates the gst at 3.2% instead of the 5% as they will do all the paper work themselves etc, and have the GST rebated straight to you.
If your builder didn't give you the form to fill out etc, then I would look into if they have already given you the discount.

The forms are available on the CRA website, just search up GST new housing rebate. You can use the formulas they provide to calculate your rebate as well.

Thanks for the info but I already have the forms and sent it back. Just curious to know the timeframe to get the money from them.
I've heard everything from 6 weeks to 5 months.
