what part of everything didn't you understand?

this is what I want to know....

as far as gaskets and stuff everything is exactly the same, now if you get more in depth and compare intake manifolds and stuff then there are minor differences between a first and a second gen b16a, but if you do a bit of research you'll know all this in a matter of time.

A little reading up on your subject will do you a world of good.

Those are all the same 92-00

Just make sure if you order from the dealer that you order for the motor, not the vehicle......

best option for a obd1 b16, 94 vtec del sol.

    hope this helps.

mine's obd2 gen2 b16a.. just a bit of confused about these gaskets.. as I've read from other forums.. some gasket wont fit or either has some fitment issues.. so just tryin' to be sure before i buy the parts and take 'em apart leaving some issues behind..

I can also vouch for all 92-00 usdm gaskets fitting your jdm engine with no issues

Really, the only biggest difference in the JDM 2nd gen B16, is the piston which is 0.2 higher compression. Aside from that, the engine itself is pretty much the same.

    other small differences......

    - the oil pump on jdm obdII engines is the same as usdm older obdI engines

    - no vtec pressure switch mounted on the head on jdm obdII cylinder heads

torque specs for the cam caps and the head bolts are very important.

an overtightened cam cap will overheat the cam and it will seize the cam in the journal effectively wrecking the cylinder head entirely.

Given that it doesn't seem like you've done this before and you have no real feel for how tight the bolts usually are in different places i'd get a workshop manual of some kind.

stop trying to take the easy way out, if you do your car ends up a pile of crap that never runs right.

yeah.. that's what i thought.. just realize how torque wrench are much of that imptnt.. does any of local parts store loan tools as such? or anyone who wants to loan their wrench? i've been planning in changing my gaskets this weekend for winter.. thermo housing/vtec solenoid gasket.. i even have blox cam seal but won't be able to touch it til' i get torque wrench..

buy the tools, you'll use them all again, and again, and again.....

tool stores loan out the more specialty (expensive) tools. Don't take it personally i wouldn't loan any stranger my torque wrench because if they drop it or leave it set after use it fucks up the calibration.

You don't seem cut out for working on cars, maybe you should just drop it off at the canadian tire or walmart automotive section and tell them the issue you're having
