It's either an issue with those DSM injectors (I'm guessing since you mention 450cc) or the basemap you have.

A tuning session should fix your problem.

I've already made plans for a tuning session. It's just getting the car there. The plan was for the basemap to get me to the dyno. I'm going to double check the TPS as well as rewire the MAP to see it that'll fix it. Next if those fail, would be to order another basemap.

Haha. I know, I know. I being stubborn. I want to rule out all other possibilities first for my own knowledge/experience. At $150-200/hr on the dyno, I'd rather spend the time tuning as opposed to finding what's wrong.

Hey I got a couple of base maps chip from my old setup that you can try.

Also, make sure there are no hoses or tubes within the proximity of the distributor cap. I ran a hose near the cap and it stalled my car under load. Turns out that the cap was arcing a big spark to that hose.

I will be back next week I can pm you

How far away should any hoses be? I do have a few running near the distributor.

I rerouted the hoses and there's a huge improvement. I was able to get it to go into boost on a few test runs. It's still hesitating though. I'm noticing that it's most prevalent below 3-4000 rpms under load. The other thing too is it'll quit on me if I let the clutch in and let the revs drop.

For what it's worth, I'm going to grab a new cap a rotor tomorrow and throw in some new plugs to see if that'll help.

Could old fuel be a culprit too? The car's been sitting in the garage for over a year. I drove it to almost empty before I parked it. I did top it off with almost 10L of fresh fuel.

The more I read this thread, the more I feel your car needs to be looked at by a mechanic before it heads to the dyno.

Sounds like there are a few issues you need to deal with before booking the dyno time.

It turns out it was the basemap. I ordered a new basemap chip and installed it at lunch today. Worked like a charm..... now to get it to the dyno for the real tune.
