Queens Accelerated MBA

Have anyone out there done this program? I like the program as it works around your work schedule (if your working) and its only a year. The only issue is the crazy tuition fees associated with the program.

What sort of benefits did you find when completing it (higher pay, better job prospects, increased responsibilities)? I currently have a CMA, I wonder if this will assist with being more attractive at moving up in a company or attracting more senior roles?

I have TAed a few MBA classes(UofC) and it seemed to me that the biggest thing you get out of it is the network. Personally if I was to do an MBA program, I don't think I would learn all that much. The contacts though are quite valuable. With these "interactive sessions" I just don't think its there. Paying $70,000 to sit in a room and teleconference with a prof that you will never get to meet...not a fan. Haskayne has morning/evening MBA programs now and even though it will take you close to 2 years, they have began recognizing more BComm courses so you don't have to take ACCT 601 when you have a CMA lol. And you get to meet a more diversified field of graduates not just bcomm grads. Good luck!
