2005 Civic Sedan
21 years old, no accident, 2 tickets.
$900 a year
Keeping it rice since 2005.
There was only a $35/year difference between $250 and $500 so I figured why not.Originally posted by flipstah

It's a $2mm policy, with all the bells and whistles, except glass.
It's the Apegga group discount + 2 vehicles and house.
$7k/year - ICBC is ridiculous - 3 cars 2 bikes.

2 houses
2 cars (full coverage)
1 bike
$380/month

Do you work in the industry or something?
$600 full coverage for bike
$800 basic for truck
nope, maskedbandit FTW!
that is still 4560/year, doesn't sound that amazing unless home insurance is way more than tenant insurance.Originally posted by swak

I pay 1900/year (158/mo) for 2 cars full coverage (everything but glass) and tenant insurance with extra umbrella coverage so everything is covered with 2million liability.
yeah the houses are $123/month bike is ~$300/year and the cars are $230... which is actually one car each (fiancée's and my own, both cars under a year old)
guess that's not bad then, my cars are WAY older/cheaper tooOriginally posted by ercchry

how much does that effect the insurance though? I quoted both my cars separately first to see how much of a discount I am getting with multiple cars and the car I payed 15k for would cost as much to insure as the car I payed 2.5k for. Do they have different insurance brackets or something and these both just happen to be in the same bracket (le cheapo bracket) ?

... and J-Hop, in comparison to mine that still seems pretty cheap, as i pay everything in a lump sum at the beginning of the year, being pretty cheap. $1400 and some change.
/12 = 116.67/month.
Approx half of what errchy pays with much less insured.
under my parents, my truck is some where around $65/month. full coverage too i believe. mainly cause it wasnt much more expensive than 1 way.
last summer my car was $412/month under myself. 2 speeding tickets, on at fault accident (its stupid) and two not at fault accidents. i have
both with TD Meloche Monnex. im not to happy with them lately. semi long story.
i havent called around for insurance yet this year, mainly because;
a. my car likes to blow motors
b. i dont know who will insure modified cars, and not cost an arm and a leg.
1998.5 dodge ram 2500 4x4... daily, Stock... LOL...

When I called to cancel my insurance with Melonche, they didn't even bother to try to retain me. Just asked who I was switching to and why.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
TONS of factors are taken into account for insurance pricing. No one company is the best for everyone.
ie. Where you live, what you drive, your driving history, years licensed, age, gender, deductibles, mutli vehicle / package discounts, usage, etc...I could go on and on but the main thing is if you are a good driver with a good history. You will pay way less than someone with an fault accident and convictions recently.
Insurance Pro
used to be with ama then found out how expensive it was. my 300zx cost me like 5g a year without collision. now im with meloche monnex have my 350z fully insured and my explorer without collision and i pay just over 3g.
are you referring to his overall insurance payment (with cars, bike and houses included) or just the insurance payments on his cars??? because you don't pay half his overall payment you pay less than 1/3...Originally posted by swak

i agree his rate is decent, I didn't realize how expensive the house insurance is. I am guessing you (swak) are under 25? and/or have tickets/claims?
