Default Places to Host a Party?

    Hey,
I'm looking for any suggestions regarding places that I could rent out for a night to host a small - medium sized party (40 People invited, expecting 25-30 to actually show) in the deep-ish South (preferably as close to Somerset/Shawnessy as possible). I'm having a birthday party and as my parents are probably going to be putting up this house for sale soon, I don't really want to destroy it before they do that. Also, I fucking HATE cleaning :P

So yeah, I don't really know how much this would cost but I don't want any sort of catering or bar service, just a small space to rent with some seats, tables and a dance floor. I want it to be cozy and still have the feel of a house party.

    Any thoughts?

I tried google but nothing really came up.

Those places all have pretty strict rules about liquor/music etc...

I've tried the barn a few times this past week no answer. Also it's pretty cavernous to host a small number of people.

There was a great place my parents rented out for my dads bday in the"Polish House" by 32nd but thats a far drive for every guest and DD's will become an issue. It had a smallish dancefloor, a bar and then a small dining area. As oppose to the barn that is just one large open space...

No they don't lol. Most those places I listed serve liquor, and play music. I went to a wedding in Cranston, everyone was bombed, the music was cranked, had a little bar section to which was nice. No one was there monitoring it or anything, they just had some lady look everything over at the end of the night.

Yeah but they serve liquor. I want to be able to bring and pour my own liquor and places like loyds, shanks... etc won't let you do that and they usually don't let you play whatever type of music you want (as in dj yourself).

Community centers are great the thing is they're expensive and big. I really wish I could find pics of this side room in the polish house to show you what I'm trying to find.

Just think of something the size of the main floor of a regular house. Parties die fast when you have a small number of people in a big place...

Im not trying to be an ass and I do appreciate your suggestions. Do you know where that wedding in Cranston was? In that main community hall area by the tennis courts?

I threw a triple kegger at kingsland community hall. shit was buck. $400 to rent for a night plus $400 deposit i think. went till 2 am. Lost 300 of my deposit cause it was messy as fuck when i left and some shit got damaged. We all tried cleaning up but we were fucken hammered. Good times!

It was unsupervised too so thats a bonus.
