Default Anyone have 17" MBP or a Snow Leopard Disc

I'm trying to reinstall Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro since Lion still doesn't seem to want to work properly. But I can't seem to find my disc that originally came with my MBP, all I can find is my wife's install disc from her smaller macbook, and apparently the discs are locked to model types somehow, and every time I try to boot from the CD it won't let me install it.

Just wondering if anyone has either the disc from a 17" MBP or a Snow Leopard retail disc.

    Lemme know.

it's only $29 direct from apple. and I already have a copy on the way, just looking for a quick fix since I'm leaving town on a business trip around Alberta on Tuesday, then I come back for 4 days and fly to Texas.

I have lion retail which can be booted on a external and installed. You can also download it as a torrent.

It's not even close to as stable as snow leopard. It has a lot of cool features, don't get me wrong, and for the average user that uses their computer to surf the internet, download music, and type the occasional document it's a great operating system. But people that are using the more advanced features and more graphical processing power are in large part against it. Just read some of the reviews on the app store. It gets referred to as OSX Vista a couple times. Lol

^that and it increases your temps by about 30% especially while using LR or PS, sometimes mine gets to 90c lol!. Also that fullscreen stuff is gayness and is about as smooth as windows 98.

I do find that lion seems to be optimized for having an ssd as far as the file systems. My startup and shutdowns have gone to shit. Put in an ssd and its great.
