    Default Car Wash Locations

I'm looking for a wand wash location, but not a coin op. One where you pull in, wash your car, then pay on your way out for the amount of time you took.

Maybe we can get a list going of the different car washes in Calgary, and what type of wash it is.

I always use the car wash in douglas glen. between the casino and dealership area. Visa swipe in and on way out, get your bill.

Anyone know if the Big Bucket car wash in Crowfoot is a coin-op or other?

Last I checked, you can use credit card at this location. Along with coin-op.

    Thanks for the info!

I also found that the Shell car wash in Crowfoot is a pay-as-you-leave style.

    few problems with this one:

1: it's a ripoff. you don't get much spray time for your $$

2: takes forever for the soap or wax to get to the wand

    3: not low car friendly

4: soap takes forever to wash off (almost like they put a wax in it)

Although...it is open 24/7, that's about the only good thing.

Just down the street on 24th and Deerfoot (beside the Woodridge Ford, Mcdonalds, etc) there is another car wash that IS low car friendly, gives you lots of spray for your $, good quality chemicals (soap, wax, etc) soap doesn't take forever to wash off. BUT they close at 10PM They also have a Dog Wash.

Centex on centre street is awesome. I just wish the entrance ramp wasn't so steep. It's hard to find a car wash that's low car friendly.

Yah I did my mom a favor and washer her black GLK at the one I normally go to, must admit I was NOT impressed with how dirty it was after I came out. Spent $10 and ended up going home to bucket wash it in the driveway.

I'm curious if the ownership has changed over? When it first opened up that guy was great. He used to do $10 chip repairs also. I only used it a few times this summer but have noticed a decline.

I will try that other place, even though I find it a pain driving trough that whole complex near mcdinks haha. Hopefully its much better...

The low car thing isn't an issue. only parkades < 6'4" clearance are

YEP! that was my issue with that place. It would cost me $4 to pre soak and soap the car, and then like $6 to rinse it (since their soap takes forever to wash off)...and it didn't come out very clean. It costs me $6 total at the place on 24th, and the car comes out great. Their pre-soak is awesome.

Try the place down by the mcdicks, I'll be there tonight giving my GS a quick spray. Doing some season ending pictures tonight.

I washed at the Shell in Crowfoot last night. It was $0.70 per minute. I got a good wand wash on the BMW done in just over six dollars. And it was pay-as-you-leave.

JZS_147 btw, does the mcdicks one accept credit card like the other one? I find that feature convenient for sure haha. Either way I should try it out tonight, the caddy is looking like a dirty slut right now

No, I wish it was credit card. Only takes coins. But they have good service, the guys are usually walking around the bays asking people if they need change.

Western Pride on Richmond Rd SW is awesome. Plenty of bays and it's never too busy at night.
