Little girl crushed, 18 people ignore

Apparently, before he went to the police, the first driver phoned the family, tried to offer money. He didn't show any remorse in the conversation, mentioned that he was about to leave town and he was going to carry on with his life regardless.

I can understand why he ran, but the bystanders not doing anything, even the one walking by with a kid, that's cold.

It's a strange world what people do nowadays.

it's sad to see China have such stupid legal system. i'm not saying the mom, drivers, pedestrian have excuse to get away but here is something you need to understand more about the China legal system and culture. gotta say their system is pretty fuck up still.

1) there is a stupid law in China. if you kill someone with your vehicle. you only pay $40,000(china $$), but you could be liable for a sky rocket amount if you hurt someone with your vehicle. base on what i have been told. most driver rather kill you instead of save you if they hurt you.

2) there is too many fraud injury case in China. Back in 8-10 yrs ago. there is alot of ppl throw corpse on the hwy when they see oncoming traffic. once the driver stop and get off the veh see what's going on. there will be 10+ guys come beat you up saying how you kill their family and asking $$$$$$$$$$. Alot of ppl learn the lessons and never stop no matter what they hit since all those fraud case.

3) Chinese ppl have saying. don't get involve if this is not related to you. base on that culture, no one really wanna help as no one wanna get in trouble.(i read the update on FB showing ppl think the woman who found YUYU(little girl who got hitted) wanna get famous so she choose to help.

sure this is tragedy and i truly hope the child could have a better life next round.

Do they not know that bending an accident victim up like a rag doll can maybe be......harmful? Doesn't take a lot of common sense to understand spinal injuries and how they work.

This. When I saw her moving her arms even after the second truck ran over her I cringed.

When I first saw this thread, I opted not to watch the video. Then my curiosity got the better of me.

I read an article on the tragedy and thought that it was a road with heavy traffic and higher speeds. After watching the video, I said to myself how the heck can this happen? It is not like the vehicles are going that fast. This shouldn't have been fatal if the driver stopped when he hit her the first time. China is so fucked up... this makes me mad.... seriously.

I still remember this "banned on TV" video people were watching at the back of one of our stores. They were all talking about this one video where a woman doesn't see a train coming, and it hits her flush.

Now, you might think she'd be killed and thrown to the side. Nope. Her body literally turned into mist; more or less evaporated. That was something I can never unsee, and it haunts me to this day.

This wasn't *quite* as dramatic, but the circumstances and the fact it was a little girl are really, really shitty.
