You know, considering the financial state Cali. is in. Why wouldn't they just auction these kinds of cars off, instead of crushing them?

If they wanted to be really strict about it. Not only auction the cars off, but enter them in a database saying they can never be registered in California again. They could have a database not unlike a Salvage title one.

This is fucking stupid and unenvironmental. Confiscating the car and reselling it or atleast make use of the parts is a better idea...

like many before of said. why not auction it off? the original owner still loses his car but you gain the profits from whoever purchases it. so fucking stupid to just crush it like that.

While I agree that crushing this car is pretty dumb of the authorities, I'm glad that it wasn't an LFA. It's almost morbid to wonder what slowly snapping cabon-fibre sounds like.

Couldn't see the full title until I clicked the topic and seeing as it only went up to the word Lexus, I assumed the worst. Glad it's not an LF-A but still sad to see an IS-F go though.
