I have rode in the dirt 5 times in the last three weeks. Plan to go again this weekend- have to start late and end early but need to cram it in before the snow flys!

I've been riding everyday to work last week and this week! I wish I had heated grips... oh well as long as the temperature is no less than -5 and there's no snow or ice I'll be on the road still.

I would change it before storage, you wouldn't want all that dirt and crap in the oil to sit around inside the engine.

I rode yesterday to the Doctor, and even though it was a nice short ride, like 15 minutes, it was coooold.

Like I said though, after last year almost dumping it on deerfoot due to frost, I'm not riding past +4. I wasn't scared about going down, I was scared about getting run over afterwards.

Change it before storage. Also fully clean it, chain, everything. Lubricate it all up afterwards, everything that can be. I usually fill the tank fully and add stabilizer. Finally, I put the bike on it's center stand, and put a rubber mat under the tires so they're not on the concrete. Also has the side effect of keeping them out of any salty water from my car.

I put mine away last weekend when I also changed over my summer tires on my car. It was a sad, sad day for me.

I found it was getting too cold in the morning to bother anymore. I don't really have cold weather gear, gloves in particular...

I got a little over 7,000 kms this year, I was happy with that since it was my first year back at it in a long time.

last time i rode mine was friday the 21st... so foggy out i could barely see 10ft in front of me and cold as hell..

McLean Creek, on the shady side of a hill. There was an inch of snow in spots too, but mostly dirt... all of the puddles were frozen though.

I'm still riding to the U of C everyday as much as possible. I do find the mornings are starting to get brutal even with leathers and hoodie underneath XD

I was out in Highwood yesterday, and saw about 20ish bikes on the Hwy.. crazy bastards. Outlander said it was only 4C near the top, and the road was frosty... that wet frozen look, plus it was lightly snowing.

Yeah, I'll be out again, but only if it's above 10C, and not in the evening.

just went from lethbridge all the way back to calgary on my 06 cbr600rr I just picked up! Such a fun ride! too bad my fingers were frozen when I got home lol
