Who's still riding?!

Hey there beyond!

Who out there is still riding their 2 wheelers in the single digit mornings??

It's just nice to see the occasional rider passing by even on the cold mornings.

Makes me laugh seeing another rider when it was near 0 deg one morning while I was on my bike on my way to Airdrie thinking to myself there's someone who loves riding just as much as me!

Another question... how many km's have you put on your bike this season??

I've put nearly 11,000kms on mine this season alone...

I haven't driven my CBR since middle September, I think it's about time to take the battery off and put the bike in storage.

Will be riding a lot next season! Bike's in storage. Battery's been disconnected.

Do most of you just disconnect the battery or would you also trickle charge it a few times throughout the Winter?

i'm still hangin in there! usually i will go for a quick blast around 7pm before it gets too too cold. wearing some undergear base layer top and bottom. gets really cold in the river valley here in edmonton. i still see a lot of bikes out but only during the middle of the days on weekends.

Yeah it is starting to get cold, I don't have heated grips so my fingers get cold when the temperature is near 0. I ride to work at around 7 in the morning so it's a little chilly, but on the way home it's not that bad.

The kevlar jeans I'm wearing are warm enough that i don't need to wear anything underneath. My balls get cold from the wind though....

I'm still riding the odd afternoon but it's way too cold in the AM to ride to work. I think I put on about 15,000 km this year.

I barely put any kms on mine this yr. Had too much down time with the bike.. Hopefully next yr will be a blast

Barely put any on this season which is a shame. MAYBE squeezed 3000km.

Went for a ride yesterday, it was still decent out around 6-7 but as soon as the sun goes down, it gets cold pretty quick.

I don't get it ready for storage quite this soon, there's normally a few good days still left. I figure if you pay insurance year round, might as well make the best of it! I remember 2 years ago, I rode on December 31st. It was like +13 outside and no snow anywhere. Tons of gravel obviously but I just rode it from my place to a friends house for storage. Still an awesome feeling to be out there that late in the year!

still sneaking the bike out when possible but i'm layered pretty good. (only got about 4000kms over the summer)

around this time of year i always fill the tank before i head home so if the serious snow/gravel hits the road i just toss in the stabilizer, hook up the tender and prop it on the stands.

I rode to work yesterday at 5:00am, a little chilly but not bad...I have a beleclava I wear under my helmet that covers my neck. Hoping I can do it some more when I come back from texas, but the forecast isn't looking good.

Haha yep. I got cos' old sv650 now. Made a good deal with him for the cobra and cash ontop. Couldn't say no and I freaking love the bike. So much easier on my back than the r6 haha

I feel the ppl who didnt put many k on their bikes this season. I only got about 3000 on her. That's gotta be the worst thing bout living here riding time is very short.

Gonna try and make up for it next year do a 10-14 day riding vacay!

haha i guess we have different definitions of few kms. when I say I barely put any km's on this year I mean <500kms
