Charges have been laid in a collision that left four Grande Prairie teens dead and one in hospital with serious injuries.
Brendan Holubowich, 21, has been charged with the following:
Four counts of impaired driving causing death
Four counts of operating a motor vehicle over .08 causing death
One count of impaired driving causing bodily harm
One count of operating a motor vehicle over .08 causing bodily harm
One count of failing to remain at the scene of a crash
The charges stem from a collision happened on Highway 668 near Highway 40 when the teens' vehicle was hit by a pick up truck.
The RCMP have confirmed that the four victims are Matt Deller, Vince Stover, Tanner Hildebrand, and Walter Borden-Wilkins.
Zak Judd was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital from the scene by Stars Air Ambulance.
He has been placed in a medically-induced comma after he sustained head injuries in the crash.
Principal Rick Gilson said it was not a time for blame.
"The best way for us to move forward is to work on forgiving and work at having compassion and that will help us more."
Holubowich has been released on cash bail with numerous conditions. His first appearance will be Monday, Oct. 31 in the Grande Prairie Provincial Court House.
