Default So anybody check out the 4th street underpass/east village connector project?

So, this sucker is almost open, anybody check it out/see the pretty lights on the wall? Theres a bit of talk on it on this forum.

Btw, every pedestrian hand rail on this site, was all built and installed by me, and my crew. Been a pretty cool project, and should be open soon. When you see it, you can think, hey, a beyond member had a big part in this project.

    Heres some teasers.

Should see it lit up in the morning. All of those shapes on the walls glow blue. All of the hand rails in the plaza will be lit as well.

That is pretty awesome. I've seen it a bunch of times, can't wait for it to open. Looks good btw.

What's the proposed date it will be open?

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Those look pretty interesting. I've detailed a lot of hand/guard rails for the City, I've never seen that design before.

I drove by it the other day and had no idea what they were doing there, saw the lights. It looks pretty cool.

Walk by it pretty much every other day. Looks very nice.

Was hoping it would be open last Friday to help relieve the congestion after the game but obviously was not open.

Opens today. Wonder how much it'll help the traffic after Flames games.

No it connects 10th ave to 9th Ave so you can go towards Inglewood.

Just wonder how many people actually need to go to 9th Ave though.. That will be the deciding factor in how well this works lol.

You can go past 9th and head into downtown as well (or go on 6th to head west). Hopefully enough people are heading there to alleviate the traffic that piles onto 11th.

This is going to be a key peice of infrastructure helping move people from Memorial (via langevin bridge) and Macleod, 9th ave.

Not to mention, it's going to totally change the egress from events at the stampede grounds. I'm very excited about this.
