Default Calgarian wins Price is Right!

Friend of mine sent me this video and I knew he looked familiar; used to be my co-worker!

If I go to Price is Right, can I get a beyond t-shirt for promotion?

Wonder how the winnings work if you're not a citizen? Cash equivalent?

    Congrats, Willie!

If a US citizen/resident wins, you're subject to income tax on the winnings. If a Canadian wins, you just get the winnings, not subject to taxes at all.

Not true, my friend (Calgarian) won the show years ago and was taxed heavily on the prizes.

You might get taxed initially, but you can apply to get it back.

^^^ I went to see the show years ago. From what I remember reading all the forms you have to sign, you hhave to be able to pay any associated taxes on your winnings. You can then claim it back.

Can you opt out of the prize for a cash equivalent? It'd be a pain in the butt to bring a Chevy to Canada.

Well, not really; just don't want to.

I like it. He won that with style, having to guess the last number, and doing so perfectly. ;-)
