A sob story from someone who has never been cuffed in his life.

It's ridiculously uncomfortable and painful. That's why when they ask you to comply, you fucking do it.

Edit: What i'm getting at is when they asked them to leave and they didn't. Not the 'last minute ok I give up".

It's sad that we've become so conditioned to authority, that even peaceful protest is frowned upon.

No surprise that the harpercons are taking over.

Anyone notice that Bill Bruce is holding his iPhone 3GS in the photo?

Edit: About the sculpture.. I'm actually pretty impressed. I expected a pile of wet garbage frozen together.. but this is actually pretty nice. Definitely on par or better than what silly hall commissions for themselves.

actually not a bad sculpture, someone should give that man a job designing pedestrian bridges that cost less than $24 million.

That sculpture is actually VERY badass. Cool! I don't appreciate art much, but there is something I like about the design...

Very interesting to note two out of the four "swirls" are rusting. I like powerful but clear statements.

they should have made 100 swirls, and only had one rusting...but then it becomes a matter of logistics and space.

I think Bill Bruce is the bylaw guy with his hands in his pockets.

Occu-Duck II is the guy with the middle-class toy in his hand.

I think its a cool sculpture and should be found a permanent home somewhere in Calgary. It looks better than some of the shit that tax payer dollars have been used for. The city are a bunch of idiots if they decide to scrap this free art. Free stuff man! Whats wrong with the city council? It's only good if we pay millions of dollars to a foreign artist to design something for us?

Not sure if this is a repost, but this pretty much sums up my view on the whole Occupy Movement:

Wow that woman is shreaking and making no sense at all. This is the problem with huge movements like this. You have participants that don't really know what they're talking about, except knowing to recite the few things they talk amongst each other. In the face of true and honest questions they choke.

Some people have a right to complain, there was a lot of shady shit that went down on Wall Street. But some people need to give their head a shake and realize that the USA isn't, and likely will never be, socialist. Share your money she says? Pay higher taxes. Why, you dumb broad.
