Messing around with a recently acquired Sigma 105mm macro. Sigma or not, quite impressed by its sharpness. It's not weather sealed, but oh well. Chose this guy over the Olympus 50mm macro for its longer reach and 1:1 macro goodness.

Do you have the new 105 with OS or the old one?

I have the old one and it's tied for the sharpest lens I own. It's one of the best macros on the market, without question. There aren't many bad macro lenses.

I have the old one without OS, BUT the Olympus E-3 has inbody IS

I don't even want to think how close I'd need to be with a 35mm or 50mm macro, it'd be crazy to try and light indoors and would put me literally an inch or two from the bugs.

The guardrail is totally uneven, with some spots that are really bright and some that aren't, the car starts out bright at the bottom and is almost clipped to black by the time you get to the roof, and the front of the spoiler is different from the back of it...just a couple things I noticed at first glance.
