    Our other Friend Derek from Caliber Auto did the final prep and paint.

    Super happy. Everyone did WAY more than we budgeted and hoped for.

    9.74 at 147!!!!

    Medicine Hat today. First pass off the trailer 9.85 at 147. Then the 9.74. Then a flat tire. Super super happy. Got it to 28 psi boost and a quick late night tune check last night. We have 2 or 3 psi more boost to go and then nitrous.

    Will post slips and pics later tonight or tomorrow.

    Found a small issue with the Megasquirt ignition settings, and a large manifold leak that was the actual cause of our low boost problems. When they were putting the engine together, a set of insulating washers could not be found in time, so a cylinder of teflon was cut into washers and that's what we tried. Figuring they might be a problem at the time, everyone just forgot to check. And sure enough, when hot enough, they didn't clamp the intake to the head, and physically all bolts loosened off a little. Doing nothing but just tightening them down a bit, boost went from 16 to 26. All the insulating works, manifold stays very cool, but we will have to replaced the washers with the proper ones, or just skip them.

    Our friend Derek with his awesome Xtreme Drag Radial Mustang rented the Medicine Hat track so he and Hubby could do some trouble shooting and tuning before big SCSN race in Vegas next month. About 10 cars showed up, including a GTR that ran 9.8, a Cadillac CTSV that ran low 10's at 140. and '03 2 valve Mustang that ran low 11's at 130 on 18's and pump gas. Everyone was too busy to take pics, but Sergio got these of Derek's 3000hp Mustang next to our little Silvia.

    I will try for my 10s next year, for a street car i think that will be good enogh.

    This is one serious track car tho.

    For now its kinda racey.

    This is the first time I have ever shopped for subwoofers with someone that includes light weight versus performance as a factor.

    The exhaust is worse. titanium. Or vibrant has some aluminum mufflers.

    Or thinking about spending 800 on door panels because they are 2 pounds instead of 8 (and damn sexy)

    It was an awesome day...have to do more of these track rentals. It was nice to be able to run flat out without worrying about getting kicked off. I was the one in the CTS-V...ran a best of 10.21. And ran a 139.8...can't believe the 4400 lb car is going almost 140 with very minor mods and a 150 nitrous shot.

    I have some vids but unfortunately nothing of your car running down the track. I was always in the pits when Toma went and I watched from a distance.

    9.41!!! Very exciting. Last race of the season!!! we keep testing, and trying things, and finally after Medicine hat, thought the car was ready to give as all she had.

    We even put a lightweight driver in the car (pic below)

    First pass, blew the tires off, spun hard, lifted off the gas, and ran a 11.2@142. Second pass, made a few adjustments, a better burnout, and it ran a 9.41 @ 128, coasting from 900 feet and on. Turns out, the accessory belt flew off somewhere during the burnout. Bubby says this caused low voltage to the fuel pumps, so fule pressure fell by 20 psi, and car went dangerous lean. It then overheated just before the 1/8th mile. There was a 8 second Camaro in the lane next to us, so Toma stayed on the gas a little longer, but the then decided to let off and coast.

    We are VERY excited about the 1/8 mile mph. 122.5 compared to the 8 second cars 122! A little work on the launch and 60 foot, and how aggressively we apply the boost control. It was a 2 run day again, but a very good day.

    So, what's next?

    The engine always had a vibration at low RPM, we suspect it is that massive adapter flywheel, so it will all get torn down, checked over, and balanced.

    Weight out. We have about 30 more pounds we can remove from the car.

    Interior. Sound deadener, Seibon Carbon Fiber door panels, a Dash, centre console, mount other seat, stereo, and subwoofer. Shopping with subs with bubby online was interesting. First time I have looked at stereo equipment based on weight lol.

    Move the shifter foreward, it's hard to reach.

    Transmission has a leak a the shifter linkage.

    Torque converter is too loose, and flashes up PAST where the engine make peak power, so it is hurting not only power and dyno numbers, but drivability.

    Lightweight 4" exhaust, either aluminum, or Titanium

    Turbo upgrade. The T72 is making awesome power, but datalogs are showing too much back pressure.

    Here is the reqruied fire jacket I am thinking about for me when I race the car next year

    Just goes to show, a project car is never done lol

    Wow. That is truly unbelievable. I knew it would be fast, but that's nutty.

    Congrats on the times and the newborn.

    This is one of my favourite builds. There is only so many "gee look at the new wheels I bought" builds a guy can look at.

    Good luck and I look foreward to winter updates. You guys should hit some winter car shows or world of wheels.

    Juice. Sort of. That last run was the first nitrous run and the nitrous was set up to kick in 0.6 seconds after launch at 10 percent flow. Then progress to 100 percent flow by 3 seconds. Bottle was cold so pressure was only 720. Its jetted to an advertised 90 shot.

    Lol. Funny about wheels. Hubby was showing me some billet specialties 'street lites' in black. 16 pounds lighter for the set and are polished and black mix.
