After PMing a sponsor and not receiving a reply I'm looking for a shop that can hook me up with some winters for the Forte.
Recommendations?

Not sure if you asked tirebob. Considering that every shop remotely related to tires is probably swamped this week, he might not reply. Try phoning him instead.
He hooked me up a few times now. I don't think I'll get tired of recommending this guy.
PM'd him and called both shops last week. No one got back to me. I'd still do business with him if I could get a hold of the guy!Originally posted by lilmira

I pm'ed Tirebob today, and got a reply within a couple hours. He told me to call the shop, but be patient because they are swamped right now.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100.
try either urban expressions location, bob up north or cort down south will both help out, try again, their phones are probably ringing off the hook

It's an insane time of the year for tire shops. I'd say if you are too lazy to go down and visit them to give them a bit more time to get back to you.
Do you know what tires and sizing you want?

Those guys are super swamped, and with that snow fall last Fri they're even more busier then that! I was in there a few times in the past 2 weeks getting 3 different vehicles done and if they weren't on the phone they were with a customer. Best bet is to pop in (this is for Urban X of course)
Psalm 144(1): Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
I messaged tirebob a while back too, no response. So i took my business elsewhere.
Oh, and this was like during summer, so they weren't busy like they are right now with winters.

yeah urban is swamped, i sent cort a text. took a day to get a response, but he accommodated my schedule and got my shit mounted 3 hours after business hours and half the price of crappy tire
Have helped the guys at Urban South a few days last week, phone is off the hook, best bet is to pop by when you get a chance and we'll take care of you!
odd. i called both locations for quotes and ended up buying blizzaks from Costco and hankooks from CT since they were both cheaper than urbanXOriginally posted by ercchry

Tunerworks! I had great service from Aaron (who isn't there anymore), but the prices were very competitive, excellent service.

You gotta think how busy everyone is now. Just because someone doesn't return a message on a forum doesn't mean they are don't want your business, they are just busy. Best way is just go into the shop(s).
My vote goes to urbanX. I think I've bought 4 set of tires and one set of rims from them and are great people to deal with!!
you aint dubbin. if you aint rubbin.
mounting... not tiresOriginally posted by turbotrip

While we may not always be the cheapest retailer for every tire in every size overall our prices are extremely competitive and we strive to keep them that way for our valued customers. Even though we weren't the cheapest alternative for you this time around don't discard us next time you are in the market for tires.Originally posted by turbotrip

Also keep in mind that large chain retailers have manufacturers models available solely for their distribution that aren't available to retailers such as ourselves like the Hankook I-Pike RC01, exclusive to Canadian Tire, which is very different from the Hankook I-Pike W409 or RW11 we would have priced out for you.
Thanks to everybody for the props and the continued understanding that this time of year is overwhelmingly busy for us and although we try our best to answer every call and reply to every pm and email ocassionally people get missed this busy time of year for us and for that we sincerely apologize.
Best way to get a quick response is to keep trying on the phone or drop by one of the shops.

Bob installed my last set of tires and got back to me very quickly but that was during summer when they were slower. If they didn't get back to you they are probably stupid busy and are a pretty small operation so I would cut them some slack.
yah I figured they were really busy. sent an e-mail and tried phone calling to get a winter setup for a '12 x5 5.0i M, but couldn't get in touch.
eventually we just went with the bmw set which i feel is pretty damn overpriced , oh well... maybe in the future
