Purchasing a TIG and then fabbing a new gas tank & rear-subframe. Then probably custom rear-sets and exhaust to make it all fit.

Ive got some big plans for the SV now. Should be a sick looking bike once parts start coming in.
i picked up a gsxr 750 over the last few weeks and was thinking about getting it painted. i'm not sure where to go and how much if i take the fairings off, any suggestions???
it's black and royal blue but it's really black and purple. haha the paint doesn't really shine anymore either so that was the main reason. i might get a pipe for it to, but other than that just wait to ride.
Wouldnt it just be cheaper to buy aftermarket fairings? Seems like a good enough reason too haha. I really wouldnt want to spend a bunch of money on painting the plastics incase you ever dropped it or crashed it (god forbid)
Lots to do!
Get bike license
Get new helmet, gloves, boots
finish repairing the carbs/gas pump
buy the right lower fairing
do the fork seals
new grips and right handlebar
finish vinyl wrap
new exhaust (maybe)
This will finish the repair on my (new to me) hurricane. I bought it after a crash to repair.. getting close!
If anybody or you know anyone looking for a nice bike for next year ive got my CBR in the FS Section I wanna focus on building my SV for next season
My bike will probably be sold in the spring... I just can't justify keeping it. I didn't need it for commuting, plus I didn't have anyone to ride with 99% of the time. I rode on my own in my spare time, surprised I even put over 4000km on my bike and got my class 6 this year.
I put on around 4000kms this year - which was fine since the bike is a "summer beater" for me and I expected to put on only a few thousand k (but bested that). It was my commuting vehicle for most of July and August (epic awesome months).
I plan on HID this winter, possible new seat and clipons.
Oh and I am rebuilding the front fork myself - stock SV1000 had issues with leaky seals (like mine) and wierd oil in them.
Yea miss it already....funny, on the way home on Beddington Trail northbound, there was as guy riding?! In the snow?! WTF!!!
I definitely plant to put more KM on next season...I was a wuss this year and let the cool mornings stop me
Boots next season for sure, and new gloves. Just bought off Ebay, Dainese body armor. Perfect protection for those hot days I am dreaming we will have next spring/summer lol
ya i did a quick look just after i bought it cause i wasn't happy with the it, and i think it was $600 plus shipping for some chinese fairings. i'll keep looking aroundOriginally posted by Shlade

plan next yr is HID's, New flushmounts, New FE.
Maybe chain and sprocket.
Barely rode this yr, worked too much on my cars haha.
Basic stuff: a fender kit and exhaust, for sure. Tough to say since the new acquisition won't arrive till Spring - I have a deposit down on a 1199 Panigale. Probably just work on the track bike, as well as the wife's bike, until then. No major plans for either.
New Tires, Bars, Throttle Tube, Grips arrive this week.
Changing all fluids this weekend after parts install.
Gonna polish up the pipe this winter real nice.
have a 07 r6
looking to do exshaust, full or slip-on muffler maybe.. theyre just so expensive. if anyone wants to part out let me know! haha
also gonna get parts wrapped in CF vinyl
Something a little more modest than a Ducati.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
im going to be commandeering J.D.'s 08 gsxr for the season lol since hell have an R6 to ride as well.
Buying one haha
