Way too busy, like the current Corvette's way more.
That car has ZERO class. It looks like a Wings West project ricer body kit on a C6 for some trust fund kid. Seriously, look at all those body seams and rice vents. I thought the new Vette was supposed to look more like this:

well, that would be one helluva step in the right direction.Originally posted by jdmXSI
[B]Kinda looks like it has similar lines as the DB9
I prefer the batmovette! Looks more appealing to my inner child. Lol
Beyond's Most Wanted
If it was dual pipes on each side, rather than the four in the middle, it'd look a lot better from the rear. I'm liking the side view though!
I'm a Vette guy. Regret I sold mine, and plan to probably get another in the somewhat near future. But really, I'm not feeling this. I know it is just a rendering, but the proportions just look... wrong. The side engine vent doesn't at all flow with the rest of the car, the rear lights (as mentioned) deviate from anything Corvette has done in the past... it really just looks like someone went to town on their computer and took a guess at what it might look like, or what they wanted to see.
But I do *not* want to see this for the next generation. Being that the Corvette is really the flagship sports car representing North America, I would expect much more than this. Maybe not quite as prototypey as what Ven posted, but at least somewhat closer in that direction. Or maybe something that incorporates some of the old Mako Shark body style for nostalgic effect.
I designed this a year or so ago... just something to chew on. (Never mind the weird squished wheels. My resolution was messed when I made it):

Your design reminds me of the Stingray. Very nice!Originally posted by Kloubek

Thanks! It was somewhat based on the Stringray...
The look in the OP's post is not at all what I would expect. Should flow more. Oddly enough, i like the 4 tips in the center. I always thought the ones with the spaced duals back there looked lost, and the off-center spread 4 a little undecided. But, it's about the only thing I like. Too busy is right.
Less GTR, more DB9!!

you would think with the big retro craze going on with their styling, they would make a new Vette that has very strong Stingray DNA in its styling. they kinda suggest the curves a bit with the C6 but its too subtle.. why not just make a Vette that looks as much like a Stingray as the new Camaro looks like the '69 Camaro?
the OP design ain't bad, probably not real. can't imagine them actually putting those taillights on the production Vette.
Hey Kloubek,
I see lots of potential for that thing you made... I am willing to bet there's a **huge** crowd of people that would love to buy an R/C of that and after you've made yourself rich selling the R/C (plus the awesome homemade machines you produced them on), you can create a body kit of it so owners can put it on their real Stingrays. You should seriously think about it.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
I like this better. They can even go for a split window design with this too. Much better and cleaner. Huge wheel arches and low slung, essential corvette. No vents all over. Maybe just a carbon fibre splitter and underbelly underneath to direct cooling instrad of vents. No side exausts plz... but Nice job!Originally posted by Kloubek

Happening right now.

So far:
Entry level car:
Carbon hood
Carbon Roof
99lbs lighter and 60% stiffer chassis
Functional hood scoop, side scoops for trans.
Race seat options, Magnesium frames
DI, Variable valves, unparalleled fuel economy in it's class
7sp trans, active rev-match.
....Looks EXACTLY like the renderings. Square tails..
Side profile looks like a 599 Ferrari.
This generation is now called the Sting-ray.
They also said the base model is faster around a track than the Grandsport C6, pulls over 1G, 0-60 under 4s.
