Guess I'm eating crow now after seeing the car in the flesh (well real pictures at least as opposed to the concept drawings!!)

I think it looks wicked It looks very exotic and (imo) it has much more neck snapping potential compared to the C5/C6 after seeing those pictures.

Typical domestic big power plants without the usual list of complaints that come along with it (cheap interiors etc.) Exotic looks blended with domestic serviceability = heaven in my books! I'm excited to see one in person now.

Yeah sorry Should have clarified. I meant just a row of 4, now 2x2. They look a little too big as well. But overall I still love the look

    Love it!

Rev match tranny, optional 'racing' seats, 100lbs lighter, carbon fiber roof & hood way to go chevy, way to go.

Even if it does start at 70K MSRP in Canada (which I doubt) it will destroy anything else at that price point around a track.

Yeah, who knows on pricing. I know the vette right now is 60k Canada + 3000 off delivery allowance.

I'm sure you could get into one of these new badboys after the initial fanboy stage for 60-65k. That's a great deal.

I wonder if they'll have one of these and / or the new Silverado at the Calgary car show this year?

I posted on Facebook earlier, but whatever your opinion of the C7 is, good or bad, it looks a lot better in person and in the right colour. The front and sides are fantastic from almost any angle. The exhaust is the only thing I still don't like, but I'm sure you could quite easily replace the quad pipes with a couple rectangular tips that would suit it nicely.

I wish! I doubt we'll even get to see the Silverado much less a C7

I think they did a decent job with it. but if you look closer, those seats are almost the exact same as the older generation corvette. steering wheel looks cheap.

edit... the rims are horrid. and that side vent looks completely outta place with the rest of the car.

To be honest I like the older generation better. and when i compare this car with a 427, it aint even close, in my mind. I think the 427 is an instant classic. too many weird lines everywhere with the c7. the c6 427 is so much cleaner, smoother, classier. I dunno maybe its just me

The C7, I don't think, owns the new viper regarding looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Here's some comparisons:

Also, I see that the corvette and viper have very similar interiors and headlights/front fascia.

love it, 5 out of 5, nicest car to come out of Detroit since Cadillac first unveiled their new styling like a decade+ ago. not crazy about the taillights, I think the Corvette 4 round lights would look absolutely killer on dat ass, but whatever still nice as-is.

absolutely gorgeous. and shifting a 7 speed manual would probably be a lot of fun. I must have one.

LOL at the interior...still. I don't think we'll ever see a corvette interior that doesn't look like a '94 cavalier.

I like what you did with the exhaust but IMO the tail lights now make it look even less like a vette. But good job none the less.

    Thanks Rage

    Definitely looks better in grey.

Nice to see that they switched those useless Goodyear Supercar tires for Michelin Pilot Super Sports, that was the first upgrade I did on my Grand Sport a month after I got it lol.

For me, the Viper is more of an homage, stick to tradition car while the Corvette is a bold statement, new design car.

I think the the Viper's interior is more liveable and will age better.
