Default donair pizza - what is on it?

i've never had a donair pizza, but i want to make one. today i made some donair meat using a combination of recipes (King of Donairs http://www.saveyourfork.com/2006/09/05/queen-of-donairs and Dash's donairs http://allrecipes.com/recipe/dashs-donair/). I'm assuming it has cheese, tomatoes, onion, and donair meat. But can anyone tell me if it has tomato sauce, or is the "sweet sauce" (evaporated milk, sugar, garlic) used instead.

    thanks!

Donair pizza is the sweet sauce for sure. Speaking of which, I just searched up the receipt for sweet sauce and its amazingly simple. Can't wait to make a batch and use it for dip for fries

yea, this is the sweet sauce formulation that i'm using:

1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
    3/4 cup white sugar
    2 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons white vinegar, or as needed

So, is the sweet sauce just used instead of tomato sauce? so there is no tomato sauce at all? sorry to sound like an idiot, i've just never had it before. and i've fucked up with sauces, e.g. using big mac sauce all over a pie which was a big mistake LOL.

LMFAO omg that sounds disgusting. The times I've had donair pizza is just with the sweet sauce as well.

Yes just sweet sauce. No tomato sauce at all. I've seen raw cut up tomatoes put on top of the pizza after its done though

Seniore's Pizza in the NE has BY FAR the best donair pizza in the city!

Seriously, if you've never tried it, you're missing out. It can be a little greasy but damn is it good, especially after a night of drinking. I can't remember how many times we have stopped in there for pizza on the way from from a night out.

Here's a link to them on Urban Spoon:

You should make real donair sauce, not that crap we have in western Canada. That's not even donair sauce.

    Please do!, that looks tasty~!
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

LOL, time and effort??? I've got one dough (papa john's clone) in the fridge, and another dough (chicago-style thin) on the counter. last thing I need is some crappy alberta-style 2-for-1 middle eastern or indian fly-by-night pizza shop crap!!! 99% of these shops in Calgary are only out to make a quick buck and could care less about the pizza they are actually making. I can make WAY better pizzas at home than you can buy at most of the shops in Calgary - and i'm not kidding.

should order the donair pizza at narah to see how its done right

just a dash or two of mozza, feta, red peppers witht he sweet sauce drizzled. all on top of a pita (makes for a super crispy "thin crust")

No way man Sammy is the the shit. I think hes leb (not the shady kind), and definitely not a paki selling high sodium shit from Forest lawn. His prices are actually a little higher than most places because he actually uses good ingredients like not processed cheese and and tasty as hell sauce. Im a pizza nazi and most places I go to are garbage but seriously Sammy's is actually pretty good

Had Sammie's take out last night. Pretty good, not sure if it's up to g-mo pizza standard though. Had mushrooms on the pizza last night and you could actually taste em
