napa gold 1356 (aka wix 51356)

fits almost all engines that use the older 1334 style, and is the recommended filter from 2003~ on

Mobil 1 synthetic filters or K&N Gold..pretty sure they are the same media just different packaging and 1" nut on the K&N. Don't cheap out!

I have used the fram extra guard for years with no problem.
I would suggest the Napa gold though I believe is made by wix or a wix filter itself or purolator. Those are the ones I always hear good things about.

The OEM honda filter is made by Fram.. look at it and the 7317 it's the same.. but I still have issues putting the fram on the Civic..

Assuming this is for Civic application, I heard using S2000 filter gives you more consistent pressure.

Me too. My 06 civic has 195,000 km's on it and has had frams since it's first oil change and still no problems and I go 8k between changes. No issues what so ever.

you can get 100's of thousands of kms out of near any vehicle if you use proper warm ups and regular oil changes, even with the cheapest oils/filters out there.

People who use that freaking nut for tightening should be shot.

I've seen Mobil 1 filters cause regulator noise on newer Nissans.

I just stick with OEM, they are the same price nowadays.

the oem honda filters were made by toyo roki or filtech (which is a subsidiary of toyo roki but just stateside) i thought

anyways for the smaller standard 15400-PLM-A02 filter that goes on basically almost all hondas i use the mobil m1-104s or the 15400-PLM-A02 oem

-A02 is the one made by Honeywell/Fram which the dealers sell here.

-A01 is the one hard to find and is the one made by Filtech which is much better than -A02

I use Wix or Napa Gold.
