    Default CAI question

I am putting one on my Integra and am not quite sure what to remove to take the stock box off. The filter part is already off, just need to take the piece that goes down into the bottom of the car off. Any suggestions would be appreciated thnx.

    Default ,

Just shake the air tube (is what it sounds like) to see where it is bolted to your hood. It should be bolted in several different places, also I had to remove my air flow sensor.

If you search for the products installation instructions you should be able to find a walk through.

Nice advice you moron, you couldn't even spell bumper properly. Why didn't you just suggest to the guy that he should look under the hood, it would have done him just as much good.

It's all good....I got it figured out. The problem is that I haven't done much work on Integras, so finding all the little bolts and other misc. pieces is kind of a chore. Thnx anyways guys

Especially on an Integra, it is not a requirement that you remove the bumper to install a CAI.

As my old man would say "What a fucking abortion!"
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Could you not just remove the front fender?

i dont know if you are refering to this car only or to all in general... on my car for example the CAI kit came with a battery relocation tray that moved the battery back just enough for the filter to squeeze in between it and the rad and to go down to the wheel

you dont need to take off the front bumper. if you guys dont know, dont post. i've done it on my gs-r. although some people say you can take off the front right wheel, i didnt even do that, i simply turned the wheel to the right. get under your car and take off the splash guards, then find all the bolts. really easy install

You can remove the front wheel, and get in there, or you can get underneath the car and remove the splash guard, and work from there. Actually, from what I remember, I had to do both, but i'm sure you can get away with going either route.

It's pretty easy to do, and it may take a bit of time, but it's basically just removing a few bolts that hold the airbox in place, and you are set.

Sorry bud if we all did that then 90% of the posts on Beyond would disappear.

Maybe you should just relax and realize this is a website where we give each other our opinions and learn about each others cars together.

By suggesting things and then learning from what was actually done then we will be able to grasp the extense amount of knowledge that you seem to have. I guess you are just gifted and way ahead of everybody else.

    glad you figured it out.

You dont have to take off the bumper, just turn the wheel, jack it up.

For the future www.team-integra.net has some really good articles for lots of things like this.
