I'm glad they didn't use that ugly ass Acura grill they've been using for everything else.

Sarcasm meter: Broken.
Besides the nose, it is pretty damn sexy.
I don't mind the "beak" in this Avenger's prototype NSX. The new NSX would have to have the following characteristics for me to get excited:Originally posted by msommers
- Responsive e-pedal, no lag time between driver input and response
- Responsive "flappy paddle" gear box
- AWD is ok as long as there is some way to bias to rear
- Aggressively tuned exhaust which will be tough if they go with a turbo v6
- Same design as the old NSX with regard to driver oriented cabin and great driver visibility
- Some cool colours like Imola orange and ability to colour match the interior of the car to the exterior

I like the idea of bringing back the NSX but Acura really needs a reason to bring back the younger people into the showrooms they lost when they cancelled the RSX.
IMO they would be better served producing a more high volume car such as a successor to the Integra. Honda is working on some all-new DI engines so maybe a new sporty coupe with an all-new 2.0L DI VTEC engine making near 220-240HP w/SH-AWD may provide a reason for enthusiasts to again step inside an Acura dealership.
+1. The NSX will be a low volume halo car. They really do need a new, sporty well priced car to lure new buyers into the showroom, and not just a Civic with a different grill, overpriced FWD sedans and fugly suv/cuv's. At least the rsx was a unique to Acura product, and while sporty coupes are a small market, they help to bring fresh, younger buyers into the brand.Originally posted by heavyD

There are millions of Integra's out there. What happened after that? The RSX was never a TRUE successor, and people in the younger demographics lost interest. I see new Acura's and see my grandpa driving one.
Sad.
Werd, looks Mazdaish. Reminded me of the Furai.Originally posted by npham

But give her a thumb in the eye just to be safe.
If you remove the swoopy bottom, then the silver trademark nose actually doesn't look as bad because they drew the silver across both sides of the front as well. The combination of that silver nose and the bottom portion is just too much...

Problem with honda / Acura philosophy is they make engine displacement too small, but pack increadible NA power. This NSX would have to be 4.5 to 5.0 L powerplant v8 or v10 9k rpm etc. It needs to answer to Lexus LFA or at least be able to compete with the likes of exotics.
Hahaha I think they will turbo a v6 before they start producing a v8 or a v10. I mean they do have a v8 available (Indy cars), but that will never go into production.
Despite the massive failure of the 2012 Civic, I still think overall for the money nobody builds a better car than Honda/Acura but they give me absolutely no reason to even stroll into a showroom with their current offerings.Originally posted by A790

Well that's just it. If they came out with something that was genuinely competitive with other offerings out there why would I buy a Honda/Acura?Originally posted by heavyD

For the same money I can buy a car that's a lot more exciting.
Great reliable cars? Yes. Exciting cars? No. Sadly, no.
Im a honda boy, but imma pass on this
Its not only about money. Its about freedom, friends and family too.
Absolutely hate the "beak."
I think the movie car sway management to get another NSX out.
It kinda make sense since they just previewed similar electric SH-AWD. But knowing Honda, they will just throw in a J35 and call it a day. It will be dead slow even if they the bring back the aluminum chassis.
On a unrelated note, sounds like they are killin TSX and replace with the Civic based ILX. Kinda make sense since the yen is so damn high.
Make the 2012 NSX ugly, slow and expensive, to help maintain the value of the old generation. I would love to drive my car for another 10 years and have it still worth $40K haha
