Any general input on LumTecs is appreciated.
Lum Tec doesn't offer any movements I'd stay away from.

The movements used on the quartz and auto watches are reliable ones.

Ive had my M51 for a few months now and i love it.

Just ordered a Combat B2 as a retirement gift for my dad, looking forward to seeing this one.

Both from the canadian dealer, wristweapon.com. Definite savings on customs and shipping. Was doing a calculation based on official usa website and its quite a big diff.

Chose the B2 for the Swiss ETA 6498-1 movement over the Japanese, just personal preference.

Beautiful cases... from what I've read are very well built

however the only issue I have is the fact that they use Myota auto movements and only have one ETA

its not so much that's a problem, but they are uni-directional wind I belive, and they aren't the prettiest to look at...

have any of you guys bought the one w/ the ETA? I wonder what's stopping them from buying a mid-grade 2824

Funny, I was just reading about that last night.

Their VSeries actually uses 2824-2 movement

Both of the LUM-TECs I own have ETA movements. The M26 has a Soprod 9040. The other is a Combat F1, which has the Valjoux 7750. Seems as though the newest models don't have Swiss movements. I wonder if it is a supply issue?

based on the chat in their forum, it is a supply issue forcing them to move away from ETA

I was wondering if anybody has any issues with trying to order a Lum-Tec. I've tried both on their website as well as the wristweapon website and had no luck. With the Lum-tec website I'm getting an error about the CV number on the back of my credit card. On the wristweapon website I click add to cart but there is nothing that follows, no checkout button. Is there anywhere that will sell Lum-Tec's locally? Or does anybody else know another website they can refer?

    Thanks

Scratch that, I found out that AMEX uses the CV number from the front of the card and not the back....

When you click "add to cart" on wristweapon, a paypal window pops up. You're pop-up blocker is probably messing with it.

I already emailed Lum-Tec but if there's anyone out there listening...

PLEASE! Create a Combat B5/6 in automatic! If the Soviet's were able to do it with Raketa, you can too!
