Seems fishy. The company is definitely AmcoR. Here's their website with the matching phone number:

I'd get the actual name of the girls hockey team and then phone Amcor. Also, I don't know if having a discount to an Edmonton company would be of much use to a Calgary resident, or a Calgary hockey team.

Plus they already have a $1,000 discount to any Joe-blow that phones them for an estimate. No need for a $20 ticket to be purchased. Try to get the guy back and get his particulars and then hand it over to the cops.

My bet: Definite scam.

Weird. Numbers are legit - why not call them tomorrow and ask?

I imagine that for a 10g job, giving 1g off is more marketing than anything.

The part that really throws me is why/how the name is misspelled. At first I thought maybe it was crappy printing since it is totally off-center, but that is most certainly an "E" at the end.

2. Generic "Alberta Female Hockey Team"....any legit offer would have the actual team name.

3. Same deal offered on their website without any ticket

4. Edmonton company sponsoring a local Calgary team (?)...

A few weeks back when i was going into superstore some kids were selling raffle tickets, i wonder if i wasted my $20 or if there was a real mustang i could win it said 2010 mustang and the "mother" told me it was a typo and it was a 2011. Next week a "dad and son" asked me if i wanted to help a fund raiser for the same hockey team....... at the same superstore

seems like a good way to make money, us the kids as "bait" to catch suckers like me
