Default Hire someone to create a budget and to pay my bills?

I'm essentially looking for someone to create a reasonable budget for me, pay all my bills as per the budget, allocate me an allowance and redirect a portion of my funds to an investment account. I think this is basically what a bankruptcy trustee would do - except I have a good income and savings.

Does anyone if there is someone out there doing this?

I'm not looking for a mutual fund sales person or an IA.

Set up an account where all your bills are automatically pulled from, give yourself an allowance, cut out the middle man.

    Or Mrs. Celica TVS3

In all seriousness, if you have a regular salary, you can set much of this up yourself.
Get two bank accounts, have all your paycheques go into one (account A), and all your bills on auto-pay with that same one, then pay yourself an allowance to the other, and have your bank card only able to access account B.

    Gold.
you can also set up automatic withdrawals with ING for house/car/vacation/savings.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Get yourself a Japanese housewife. What you would have to pay someone to do all this would make you do it yourself as directed by Euro_Trash and ExtraSlow.

It is your money, start managing it before it is too late.

Haha, thanks guys. I have automatic bill payments set up, but I was seriously looking to have all my bills sent to an accountant ( or simmilar) and have them handle everything. At the end of every month they can provide me with a summary.

It's not that I can't do it on my own (I actually work in finance), I just find it tedious, prefer not to deal with it in my limited free time and think it could be outsourced - like having someone clean my house or shine my shoes.

I"ll do it for you. $5000/mth sound fair to cover my time?

If you choose to hire me I'll make sure your budget has more than enough room to afford my services.

Don't listen to this guy, the going rate is $4500 and for you I'll extend my boxing week special a few mome days. So everything for $4250/month that includes a report e-mailed twice a month. All you need to do is keep working and keep your account in good standing. I also offer a 3 year term for $4100 and that includes a free ipad at the end of the term... A little thank you after the three years.

If you want someone to be spending a few hour a week on this, and you want them to be trustworthy, I'd say the going rate will be $100 an hour. so despite the fact that the guys above are trying to be funny, the rates aren't that far off.

    4 hours x $100/hr x 52 weeks = $20,800 per year.

Is your laziness worth twenty grand a year? If so, I can provide you a resume and I'm ready to start Monday.

I would do this or take out cash every week. I went this route but the thing is I get cash-back with my VISA and was missing out on that. Sometimes I find I'm spending too much because of it though and lose track, see my VISA bill and start swearing at my computer screen.

You have to sit down, look at what you're doing and see what you can really live with. The problem a lot of people do with budgeting is the same problem they do with new fitness goals - going too hard at the beginning. You get worn out quickly and resort to your old ways.

What is important to you? Sports? Eating out? Movies? Don't skimp on the things that make you happy. Learn moderation and reduce any impulse buys. I can be bad for this, especially when I've been sticking to my guns for awhile and think, "fuck it."

A lot of money from my budget goes to food. I just buy whatever I want at the grocery store, farmer's market, community foods etc and don't even think about it. Food is really important to me and is the last thing I'm going to skimp on. Same with beer. I'd rather drink less and have beer I really enjoy than more of a crappy beer. Same thing with gas and proper maintenance for my vehicles. I want to go places, throw in the VISA and don't even bother seeing how much it costs, just record my mileage and throw it in my spreadsheet at home to get my x L/100km.

Things I don't care about? Having the latest clothes, going out boozing all the time, having the latest and greatest camera gear, many watches, souping up my truck, new computer parts...the list goes on. I shouldn't say I don't care, if I had the extra money I'd have it all because I do want it. But you develop priorities and see what else you could do with the money. For me, saving up money to travel is my biggest motivator. I remember thinking when I got back from Europe, "fuck I spent $200 bucks last night, that's like a week or more in Budapest." Well, don't I feel dumb now.

Set goals and just do it. Don't make lame ass excuses, just do it. No one can help you change your mindset.
