    Default Two Stroke Streetbikes

I am contemplating the purchase of an ancient (69', we believe) 2 stroke 250 cc Suzuki X6 Hustler, and a disassembled but complete (or so it seems) 250 cc Bridgestone, for $1000.
The old Zook is complete, needs cosmetic restoration, but has 6900 original km's and...the original tires. (hard as neoprene!)

I don't know much at all about Bridgestones.

It has been quite a while since I have had a 2 stroke, however I remember with a neurotic mixture of fondness and dread, a certain 500 cc two stroke triple Kawasaki H1 that I had...uh...a little while ago.

I am interested in hearing about the experiences that people here have had with their mosquito foggers, so as to fuel my enthusiasm for what I am sure will become a nightmarish restoration project, fraught with perils yet imagined.

A relative of mine had an old Bridgestone, got any pictures could be the same one, not very many of those around. Is it in need of some work or running?

The Bridgestone is completely disassembled, and the engine turns freely when the plug is out. The forks look great, and the tin is original and very nice. A good buffing is all that it will need as there are no scratches or dings larger than a hairswidth.

The RZ350 had siamese crankshafts, as I understand. The engine on that Yamaha was apparently a grenade.
I agree with the RG500 Gamma on my wish list - a Walter Wolf Replica.

I have been doing some research, and I now think the little X6 Hustler is a real find. As it needs the least work I will restore it first. Before I take on the Bridgestone, I need to find out the model for sure, but I was told it is a "GTO". (What? Like the car???)
