it was a total bitch to find. i had to start by running the chips and find out who made them, then find out what companies used them, then after that, it became a google image search lol

That's -exactly- what we did, but I got stuck up on the fact that Cisco used the Motorola/Intel processor and the one guy on Reddit said he recognized it as a Cisco switch. I knew I'd never seen Cisco use that port configuration but I'm not that experienced and the fact that the chips weren't switching meant it was probably older than would be relevant to me anyway. I went through pages and pages of Cisco devices until I gave up :P

The chips were repeaters. I knew it was a hub for those 8 ports, but I thought that single port was a WAN port. Totally forgot about uplink ports!

Great thing about this search was learning what a magnetics module does lol.
