After you call Bill, you won't want to call anyone else.

And that's partly because he'll chat your ear off and you just don't want to be on the phone any more

Joking aside, my family and I couldn't be more happier with the service we get from the folks at Touchstone. Sometimes it's not about getting the cheapest rate. The way you're treated as a client goes a long way too. I'm an idiot, so when he takes the time to explain things to me I really appreciate it.

    THIS!! 120%

The older I get, the more I realize how little I know about anything really... Bill is great for this. On top of that, he won't sell you something because it'll give him an extra couple bucks every month (or so i think )... He gets you what you need and what will work best for you.

Darren has been helpful and switched my plan over as intact had upped my car premium and now I have my house and car with the same company. 5 mins of work for many $$$ of savings.

    Here's the thing morons.

Pay whatever you want, when the time comes, your claim will be rejected by default.

    Wake the fuck up.

The fuck are you going on about now?

I've had no issues resolving claims over the years with any of the insurance companies I've been with. I've certainly never had one rejected by defaiult.

So I ask you again: the fuck are you on about?

Seth is getting more unhinged by the day.

By his statement, I'm guessing he doesn't even bother with auto insurance.

I was going to say this....the most important isn't price or customer service when you're buying...the most important is how you're treated when it comes time to make a claim!!

So far, I've made one claim with TD and didn't have any problems (it was 100% my fault). But I'd still be happier if my rates were a little lower than they are now and it's been about 3 years since that claim...

Does Touchstone still have Aviva as their main insurer, how are they?

There was a post awhile back, Touchstone actually moved all their customers from Aviva to Intact. And dropped Aviva, they increased premiums or something. I can't remember exactly what the reasoning was but I trust their motive.

More than once now Bill has answered my emails on vacation or on Sundays - continues to deliver A+ service

Currently dealing with a minor claim and it could not be going smoother.

Wow, you guys continue to amaze and humble me. To see the positive feedback really helps a guy feel like he's on the right track. I appreciated it Beyond!

Been about a year and a half now and still couldn't be happier with Darren (and Bill and Shelley the time Darren had a few days off when I needed some things changed.)

Touchstone managed to save me over $1k/year combined on my auto/home policies with better deductibles. Would recommend.

I'm one of the clients having ongoing trouble with an Aviva home insurance claim as well. Process has been quite brutal, and it's not over yet. I wouldn't consider this a complex claim either.

Can't wait to be with Intact. I am the kind of guy has a lot of claims, so I'm sure I'll get the chance to test their service.
Almost one year to the day from that post I'm here to say I have had zero issues with my two claims with Intact. They have been simple and efficient and the vast majority of my communication with them has been via email, which is my preference.

So far so good for Intact, and as always I value the advice and perspective from my trusted broker, Touchstone Insurance.

Some, depending on what you're after. I'm not in the habit of biting off more than I can chew though, if I don't think we can do it correctly I simply won't touch it. Shoot me a PM and we can chat. Cheers!

If touchstone can't help I found Toole Peet helpful after state farm refused my business insurance.

    Default Review: Touchstone Insurance

    Hi Beyond,

Touchstone Insurance is well known around here but I just wanted to give a shout out to Bill Eckhart who was amazing with helping me out with switching over.

Wife and I combined our auto/home policies. Bill was able to get us a great rate, took more than enough time to explain the policies. He also gave us recommendations on adding water/sewage to our policy because our former provider wasn't offering it until recently.

Overall, Bill was able to save us a good chunk of money. No pressure, just pure professionalism.

A coworker of mine was getting bent over by The Personal for auto insurance so I referred him to Bill as well who was able to save him over $400.

    Cheers guys,
    Marco

Yeah i use touchstone too, Bill sent me over to one of his staff Darren Roy and he's been good as well, Bill is still willing to help me out though when i need some more casual questions answered.

Also got my dad set up with insurance for a utility trailer when other companies wouldn't give him personal insurance on a leased trailer.

Bill has been managing my 'fleet' since 2008. I used to have a single, 2000$ beater truck to now, 5 vehicles.

Just got my renewal and each car went up 200-300. With intact through touchstone. Seeing if Darren can save some money.... zero claims

What other sources to look at??
