We arrived at the BMO Centre at 11:20 and there was a volunteer directing people to one line to buy tickets and the other line for ticket holders. Looked like a couple of hours' wait so we bailed immediately since we'd have had to go through both line ups.
Decided to have lunch at lougeburger and took a couple of snapshots of the masses of humanity crowding the overpass. These aren't the convention pics you're looking for but that's all I've got.
This is way worse than any hockey game or other convention-type event.

I went to ComicCon New York 2011, I wouldn't say it was a similiar cluster as it was held at the frieking Javitz Center, but the lineups for it were also insanely huge and things sold out instantly.Originally posted by ZEDGE

IMO, this is a failure of the organizers. How do you "oversell" your capacity? You know how many people are allowed in the center, sell that many tickets and don't let anymore in. Yeesh!

I think they really need to separate the ComicCon portion of the event from the celebrity autographs and photo ops.
Have all of the people who just want to see the Star Trek TNG cast and Stan Lee go stand in a line with the other suckers at the Saddledome and have the rest of the people just go to the ComicCon.
I could care less about meeting celebrities and would rather just check out the vendors and products along with meeting artists.
I realize the celebrities are a big draw for selling tickets, but this may have really left a bad taste in the mouths of the people who aren't trekkies.
