    RIP..

Not sure what they mean by saying 'they went to sleep with the woodstove on'.. Its not like they had a generator on.

    very sad, RIP.

The news report said the cabin burned down. so the woodstove on could do that.

Yes, understandable in that regard.. But its not uncommon to have a stove on this time of year all day.

Rough they didnt wake up/make it out though.

Wow, thats beyond shitty.... what a loss.
Sure would be interesting to have that kind of relationship with your parents; I wonder what that would be like.

Nothing but the best wishes for whats left of their family.

^this, our cabin's main heat source in the winter is a wood burning stove. From the sounds of it they probably suffocated in their sleep so they never woke up. A clogged stove pipe could have been responsible for the fire/suffocation.

That was hard to read...Really really hard...I can't begin to imagine what this family is going through, especially the young widow...

Makes you think how quick everything can be taken away...

that sucks. A similar thing happened with a young co-worker of mine. Him and his 2 brothers went hunting in the mountains, went to bed in their cabin, their propane heater malfunctioned and filled the place with CO, they all died in their sleep. Sucks for the parents to lose all 3 of their kids.
