Just boobs. That's how we party.
I'm on their mailing list. Just waiting on more information about them. Looks posh.
how do u guys look at upgrades? would u just do it from the builder or source your own? the problem im having is weather to take these packages or not. for example, the kitchen upgrade is 10's of thousands, it upgrades useless shit i can easily source myself but it also upgrades much wanted stuff like oak cupboards and a better layout of the kitchen.
The website e-mail list with only give you info and tell you about the upcoming public opening. People who have registered and put in a refundable deposit have been given first crack at units already.Originally posted by flipstah

Looks pretty nice. Along similar design patterns as Waterfront and Guardian with the European style kitchens and what not.
The view from the high floors should be awesome.

I've already been to their show suite. Under construction, but the finishings are nice. Have deposit on a 2 bedroom, but damn, the bedrooms are small!

Those are extremely small units in general! I thought my 1 bedroom in keynote was small at ~650 sq ft, but that's the size of their two bedrooms! That's insane.Originally posted by benyl

It's all angles and weird shapes. You're definitely paying for the view.Originally posted by vengie

You are paying for location.
I don't think it has approval yet, but it will be one of the first condos that is connected to the plus 15. Big feature in my mind.

Ranging from around 290k - 320k for a one bedroom depending on floor and which way it faces.Originally posted by flipstah

The 2 bedroom is 390k ish.
As far as I know it will be connected via 15 to the Shaw building. Not sure if that connects to the main +15 network but it's quite close.
The rooms do seem quite small. Each unit is only 500ish sqft so your not going to get any decent size rooms.
Obviously the north and west facing units will be the sought after ones. The view from there combined with the floor to ceiling windows will be a huge feature. Last I heard though all the north and west units have had deposits put on them and even the south and east facing units are of limited availability. There could be cancellations though.

I can't speak for all buildings, but my old suite at Keynote was the quietest place I've ever lived in downtown. Not sure what they use inbetween the walls, but I had 20 friends over and you couldn't hear anything in the next door neighbors bedroom which shared the wall with my living room.Originally posted by chibwack
I'm curious, how many floors up do you have to be before traffic noise isn't noticable and views are nice? ~15?
And more importantly, how noise proofed are these new developments? I'm in an old ~70's apartment complex now and I hate it. The buildings silent (all 1 bedroom recluses I guess), but literally every time I have a buddy come in from out of town and we come back around 3-4am, we get reported for simply conversing, whether in the unit with windows closed, or on the balcony (god forbid we turn on some music or a movie/video game). I want a place where we can stay up as late as we want and even have music playing without pissing off the neighbors, but don't know if thats even possible in highrises...
I came from a 70's apartment style condo and you could hear people talking in the next suite, or hear the neighbors tv on when you're trying to sleep. Definitely leaps and bounds better in the new constructions.

I don't know how you guys live with 600sq ft place. I have a 1bed 850sq ft and I still find it kind of small.

Actually for me, I find 600sqft a bit on the squished side; especially a 2-bedroom layout.
Couldn't see when it's supposed to complete - anyone know? (3 Eau Claire that is)
3 eau claire is going to be tricky to get a lender to finance the construction since the money is coming from offshore. Would not be surprised at all if the project doesnt get off the ground.
Not a good sign.Originally posted by BananaFob

I was told they don't need to finance the construction. The offshore company has it.Originally posted by BananaFob
