    And of course it will go up. I get that things cost more in time but I can't see it going from 350 --> 400. More like 500+. Or you get stuck with a condo board that is filled with fucking idiots or condo fees that start low but then the reserve pool is too small and people have to pay 30K out of no where to fix the outside. Come to think of it, I love the location but I have no idea why I was even considering these. The gym just downstairs would be nice and convenient but for $350/month, it better be!

    Where else did you start looking, Flipstah?

    +1. Plus, a high condo fee will mean that it'll be harder to get rid of, if needed.

    I'm looking within downtown and the outlying areas (Sasso, Nuera, Garisson Woods, etc.)

    Out of curiosity, what makes these units so desirable that people would actually go camp out to buy a unit? I mean as far as I can see there are tons of condo developments that will be springing up in the next few years. Am I missing something.

    Sure is. They bought the project under receivership.

    Didn't even know you could do that... Or was it the land? Probably the land.

    The entire podium and underground parking structure is complete.

    They bought the rights to build on the platforms on top of the podium as well as the parking stalls built for the other 3 towers. They also most likely own the retail spaces on the lower levels as well.

    The Arriva project was designed to be 4 buildings so there is lots of room in that project for more units.

    From what I remember in the news, more buildings are stated to get started 2015.

    You know what sucks? If new phases are taller lol.

    In the original Arriva project (prior to Torode going under) the second and third towers were supposed to be taller than the first one.

    Well I got pre-approved with a modest amount and can get a lot of house for my money if I look hard with my realtor and don't get built up on the 'new building' hype. It's all about deciding wisely as a property is one of the biggest things you can buy.

    Will this Guardian project when completed or even now put downward pressure on the resale of Arriva units? Right next door and much more affordable?

    Only time will tell. Sasso nearby is selling 2-bedrooms for $250-275k... CHEAP!

    Whats with all the hype around the Guardian? The location is terrible haha. There is nothing in that south of the dome.
