It's be kinda cool if it was actually connected to the full +15 network. Unfortunately, even though it boasts +15 access, it's one of those rogue sections that connects to nothing but the building across the street.
I used to live in a building around the corner from there that was connected to the +15. Was sweet walking to work normal dress shirt with no jacket while everyone else was in their full on winter gear. Downside was that I didn't breathe in any fresh air for 2 weeks straight.

If some of you guys wait it out, you can rent one of these:

I've known about this for months. We tried to lease space there but the managing company would never reply back. Eventually they told us what was going on. Sucky thing was my friend's company was there and they kicked him out with 30 days notice. Luckily getting the permits took forever so they were able to stay for a while longer (getting office space in 30 days is impossible).

Could someone tell me what the typical deposit structure is for a pre-construction in Calgary? Is it usually $5k,5%,5%,5%,5% like in a Toronto?

    depends

Some was a couple k and then you pay the reminder of at least 5 percent after X amount dates.

One was 10 k down and then 90 days was to pay at least 5 percent down.

Well how has condo life treating you guys?

If you had to pick a 1/1 somewhere downtown in the 300 range, what building would you suggest looking at? I think it’s time for a change of scenery for me.

Keynote was a great building when I lived there. However I will personally never go back to a condo.

awful investment... but if you have to, imperial lofts. something about that building, plus the private garages helps these units move quick if/when they are on the market.

C4187519 is a little over budget, but worth it! dump another $20k into a modern kitchen and a mop... you'll need a mop for all that pussy making a mess of your floors when they see your place

I don't need / want a lot of space and I have been mulling this decision for a year now so it's not a hasty one.

    I'm currently in a 2/2/2 850sq.ft for 3 years. I paid $583 so it'll be paying rent for the past 3 years.

Downsize and pocket 150-200 to invest or perhaps just short term rental for a bit.

I don't have anything other than a bed and tv so moving will not be difficult.

I have a 1/1 in Sasso and like the location. Pretty private (18+, no dogs) and right now I see no listings other than the penthouse as I think the 1/1s are pretty sought after. I saw there were quite a bit of single young professionals living here and a mix of older.

I'm actually looking for another 2/2 that allows pets. Is that yours max_boost? Maybe we can do a swap and save on fees lol!

Haha I am open to explore if you may be serious. I kinda love the place because its also a 1/1 that's over 700+sq-ft and it is so close to Stampede for hockey/concerts. But I have dogs and I am rarely in town so not really suited to me anymore. Anywho we can take it to PMs if needed.

While awesome, that building is terrible.

They had a special assesment for their elevators and the entire rear wall was crumbling and needed to be repaired. I don't remember the exact value but it was ~$40,000 in a single year.
Plus there is a new tower being built directly behind it, the value of those condo's has plummeted.

Save yourself $60k. Plus the gym in Keynote blows the Guardian out of the water.

Yeah, those special assessments... max can afford it though! Still low monthly overhead if he’s paying cash
