Help: trying to remember name of late 80s/early 90s annimated kids movie/series

Looking through the "im old" and "post something that reminds you of your childhood" threads got me thinking, I would always rent the same movie or series ( cant remeber if it was one or the other as this is going back probably 20 years now when i was 5 or 6) But it was an animated show, i remember it starting with rock music in the background and what looked like an alien planet, with cars or trucks driving through a barren alien world with plants ( i think) that would grow and look kinda like asparagus. I cant remember the plot or what happened, all I can really remember is the intro.

So anyways, just wondering if it sounds familiar and if anyone knows what the movie/show was called???

i cant believe i never watched that as a kid, looks like it was around the time i would've been into those kinda cartoons too, that has to be the top 5 most epic opening music and animation to kids action cartoon.

That was obviously after my time...but it does bring back that feeling when you'd get up out of bed, everyone else sleeping, cereal bowl in hand, sit down over the heat register in your jammies and your favorite cartoon would come on...."ahhhhhh...life is perfect" LOL.

Johnny Quest was a favorite of mine.
