Take a look at the two screens in person, then decide if you can live with the lower res display.
Also remember that with the 2 you're most likely getting a year less of software updates than the 3.

50 grams and 0.6mm. I don't think anyone would take those into consideration when comparing the two.Originally posted by Manhattan

Picked mine up today after comparing them in person. The high res 'new' iPad display is gorgeous. It won't blow u away at first but text is where it really shines. If you're gonna be using it as any kinda reader web or otherwise then it's a no brainer. Extra hundred bucks on something you'll likely be looking at everyday for the next 2 or 3 years is well worth the price.

Fuk iPad 3, am waiting for ipad 4
Just saw LTE enabled today ...sooo fast. Just did a quick speedtest and I'm getting close to 30Mbs.
Just curious, how can one make full use of the Retina display? Are there any sites which stream in such high resolution?
I am thinking of getting one as a consumption device, but can't really see how the retina display would benefit me at the moment? Would love to hear some long term feedback from ipad 3 owners.
Why not wait for the 5? Or 6? Or the holo deckOriginally posted by BensonTT
