Default Has anyone bought from Digital Rev ?

    Hello everyone!

I've always loved Digital Rev's cheesy YouTube reviews, their street photography, and most importantly, the video style with which they shoot their episodes. Quick, dirty, but still better than what you see on the news (broadcast trained here). But never have I actually thought about buying from them. Recently, I finally browsed some of their bundles and discovered that they are significantly cheaper than what one could walk away from here in Canada.

My online search has led me to discussions of Grey Market imports and such, warranties and whatever. But Digital Rev does have this:

So I guess I'm just curious if anyone here has had experience with purchasing from them. I wonder what risks do I assume buying from them vs. a retailer in Canada?

    Thanks for the time!

    Randy

I'm curious which bundle you are interested on.
One thing I don't like from buying online is the custom fees, especially since I noticed that DR ships via UPS or DHL

Their prices seem pretty retarded. $2600 for an 85 1.2l? $3100 for a 28-300? Actually most canon lenses are way out to lunch on there, not sure about anything else..

Well, the bundle I saw is gone now. I saw a 7D Bundle with battery grip and a few other semi useful things less for what a body alone costs. I guess it is hit and miss.

A little late... But I've bought from digitalrev in the past. Sometimes they do have stuff priced far below what you can get locally. Not sure how the warranty issue works (as it's not grey market per se since it's being bought and technically sold in the same intended market) but this only applies to international warranties. Non international warranties (like Panasonic) will essentially have no warranty.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
